The Wall (Day #3)

It's that time of the day again and I have not touched my wall toon at all since yesterday. I was a little later than usual as I was rapidly busy pushing out inks out of every place I could possibly push inks from :S (It was not pretty ). I still don't think I have enough inks but ended up making a plan :D.

I can honestly say that I did indeed underestimate the amount of work that would have to go into this whole process on top of deciding to start ill prepared. I think this plan has lost a lot of its effect in this. Not to mention the terribad prices of herbs on the AH and I swear to god that the world was hating me as well lol. There was a stage where I was flying on my usual Jade Forest herb path and for 1 whole hour nodes of herbs just were not spawning....Like nothing.

I certainly could not blame the Auction House of their high prices after witnessing the literal unavailability of the herbs.

I will however admit to another little setback. Thanks to a guild friend of mine, who told me about this other method of making gold that might be a viable option as I have some experience in this particular field. So these new ideas have distracted me a little bit as I was spending so much time trying to get this new little project off the bat but it was next to impossible. This new little project requires just as much herbs and things that the maintenance of the Glyph Wall needs.....which basically made me make the decision to put this second project on hold just for a bit...when the AH thang dies down then we can look into it again.

OK back on topic :D

How do you like that for lousy, lol :S It seems that undercutter A, my first challanger has noticed whats happening far sooner than what I expected :P Not all hope is lost :D

Disappointing (Day #2)

So I know this is a little earlier than 24 hours in between but its ok I don't think it will make that much of a difference.

So I am a little disappointed at the results really. Seems the fact that I realized that I am missing WAY more glyphs than I thought, played a bigger role.

Although as I am typing this I seem to discover a particular player who is undercutting my initial wall :P Let the games begin :D

Have a small feeling I jumped in a little ahead of myself here :S With the very high prices and limited amount of materials on the Auction House it has really made my decision to jump in with a wall without full stacks of glyphs. Although I am only posting 3x per glyph walls up, I think I am going to run into a little trouble :S

The Gold Situation

Just wanted to show an update and go over my goals of this blog and my characters in World of Warcraft over the next...I don't know how long.

Current gold situation as of Wednesday April 03 02:02 PM (April 3rd is my birthday lol)

The Goal:

To accumulate as much gold as possible before the release of expansion :)

The Glyph Process

So I have come to realize, well actually I knew what I was getting myself into. I'm not about to give up and quit before I have even started so don't get that idea. This process just takes awfully long and yes it does get quite dull. Especially if the herbs on my server are fairly high priced at the moment and on top of that there is not even close to the amount of bulk back stock of herbs that I am going to need, looking into the future. This has forced me to farm all night...which if done for a couple of hours non-stop, is real taxing on the body.

I am currently sitting at roughly 4-5 of each glyph (That I can currently make).

This is the position I am at now and there is no chance that I can wage this full fledged war, ill prepared and what not. I have read quite a number of blogs of other people doing this sort of thing on their servers, hence what got me interested in this business. I am hoping to push my numbers up to around 6-8 of each glyph, which I still think is a low number but in between I will be going crazy like a monkey farming herbs and squishing out inks till my eyes pop out. Just in case something goes unexpectedly and I need to change my strategy.

The grinding process is tedious and time consuming. But I look into the future and see great things coming. I do hope it turns out the way I would like it to :P

An introduction to my characters

So this is not generally something that some people would do. But while I was sitting here waiting for like 350 million herbs to be milled and then crafted into inks...yeah gets boring after a while I'm not going to lie.

So I thought this could be quite fun to do and will give me the opportunity to share some information about me and my characters to my hopeful future readers.

Shazie (The Gem Cutter)

This is my main character that I spend most of my time on collecting achievements and also the main role I play as DPS in my guild's raid team.
Professions being Jewel-crafting and Enchanting, she is a real goblin at heart. Main spec currently at Frost DPS due to my lowish iLvl, but moving into Fire the moment my gear allows me to compete with numbers. :)



Shazzey (The Collector) 

My previous main character. My priest. As my need of being a healer died away with the joining of a new guild that was not looking around for a healer at the time. This character kind of died into the background for a little while and was only recently revived and made useful to the cause. :) Main spec as Disc (there is no spec better). Professions are Herbalism and Mining, hence The Collector. This is where the process all starts :)


Shazzee (The Scroll Writer and Transfigurator) 

This was the character that I initially joined my current guild with. The intention was to DPS with a healing offspec? But when I got to the least enjoyable rotation and me naturally being a caster class, I had to get out of this fast. And then came the birth of my Mage. So currently this character has fallen out of rotation playtime wise and is currently just used as my gem maker and glyph writer. Which naturally would be very much needed for what I am currently planning to do.

And now we come down to the last 2 characters that I will be sharing with you and they are likely to become quite well known on my server and connected realms thereof.

Shazzay (The Marketeer) 

With his shiny bright golden armor, this is one of my two characters that will be holding the fort. The are the front runners, the go to guys, the door-to-door salesmen. They will be my presence on the Auction House.






Glyphshazz (The Glyphslinger)

Unfortunately Glyphshazz has not reached maturity yet and therefore Blizzard law states that no character will be photographed under the age of 10? Like really now, come on. SO your best imagination will have to do. Female. Troll. Warlock. Red Hair.

I hope you all enjoyed meeting my characters. I surely enjoyed writing this up...This blogging thing is quite fun :P

The Initial Process

So in the process of my intention to start writing a blog about this whole new adventure of mine I have obviously been fooling around with the auction house and therefor have accumulated quite a moderate back stock of every glyph that I can currently create. This back stock how ever is no where near stocked enough, for me to fire my full-fledged attack, on the Glyph market.

So at the moment? It's 10:16 PM here in Thailand. I have some good music playing in the background. Coffee, snacks and what not? so lets go farming :)

My Introduction


Greetings everyone, My name is Shazzie and I would classify myself as a veteran World of Warcraft player. Although my WoW career has been very staggered over the last 6 years, I would still call myself quite a knowledgeable player. In all my time playing WoW I was never any good at making any gold whatsoever and back when I was younger it bothered me quite a bit because I was that guy who would buy gear when he wanted it instead of waiting 2 hours for a guildy to craft it. If I wanted gems...off to the AH spend every last cent and still end up needing more gems, enchants etc etc. My recent personal life change of moving my life across the world to start a new adventure in the real world, has now somewhat given me ample amounts of free time. This ample of time over the last month that I have had returning to World of Warcraft has sparked new directions into which the game will remain interesting to me until when and such an expansion will be released.

So all in all I have returned to WoW and have now set out some goals for myself:

My goal: Gold Cap before release of expansion. Yes for some this may be an easy task for others they probably wouldn't care. For me, its a difficult task. My method of attaining this goal is by playing the Auction House. Although I will be taking part in quite a number of markets, my main goal is the glyph market. At this stage in time I am severely lacking some of the old school glyphs only because this character that I leveled inscription on is fairly new and is still missing some of the research glyphs. Work in progress.

So basically that is me in a nutshell. Now please I need everyone who is reading this to please just bare with me. My knowledge when it comes to blogs and blogging and all that is really not up to scratch. ie. I have no idea how this is going to turn out at all. I am going to be working on it and see what it turns out to be. Hope you guys will enjoy :P

PS. I would just like to mention, although they might not see this at all. Jim Younkin from Powerwordgold.net and Faid from clockworkriot.com have both been an inspiration to me and given me interest in the market side of World of Warcraft.

Please keep in mind for those following my blog that this is being done in real time, and due to some of the processes taking up a large amount of time, some updates may take some time. I have however thought of this before hand and I am hoping that my process which will include guild events such as our guilds weekly raids and so forth. But all of this said I am positive that I will be able to keep this updated in a timely manner.
